The only thing I haven't figured out all the buttons and the directions yet, lol but I have the on and off down. This Seaoura light is a very strong offering at its price point and really checks all the boxes for an entry level planted light. It has a plastic body which is not generally speaking the best for heat dissipation, but the light doesn’t generate a ton of heat, so it actually seems to handle the cooling just fine. The shell feels sturdy. The cable, inline controller and the power brick actually all look well made. The build is not premium but it is very solid. The light has a number of ways to adjust the brightness, color, and spectrum. I personally leverage the separate adjustments of the White channel and the Blue channel to pick the desired brightness of the tank using the White channel and then pick the desired blue intensity for the look. The light brightness can be controlled 10% each step, which is very nice and granular compared to most other lights that only offer 20% or larger steps. For a low light 10 gallon tank like the one I have this light one, I generally only use 40% - 50% of the brightness of the white channel and then 30% of the blue channel. I like the blue light can be a separate adjustment since it affects the look in the color temperature and tuning it down can control algae growth in the tank (due to its short wavelength and being a more powerful spectrum). The timer has a 6-10-12 hour setting. This is great for planted tanks since typically 10 hours of lighting per day is a good choice. It also has a nice built in 15 mins ramp to avoid scaring fish for sudden light change. It is a great feature especially for a rimless tank or any tank without a lid since sudden light change is probably one of the top reasons for fish jumping out of aquariums. The light memorizes the brightness and timer setting when power is cycled. This is a great feature that allows controlling this light with more customization of lighting period from an external power plug / smart device. For example, if one wants to turn on the light in the morning and late at night to watch the fish, then it might make sense to split the lighting period into 2 periods per day which would not be supported by the native timer. In this case, one can create some interesting combo of potentially 2 x 6 hour lighting periods per day with the built-in timer and the external smart plug to retain the ramp-up and ramp-down functionality provided by the built-in timer.Overall, this light really gets the job done by checking all the boxes for the critical and useful features. I am happy with it and will recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quality entry level aquarium light. So I had shopper error like an idiot. Couldn’t find the cord. Turns out my Houdini dog took off with it when I opened it. But it’s beautiful. Lights are great.Muy buena calidad, pedi una talla mas y le quedo perfecto. ella es talla 12 en mexico y este traje lo pedi talla 14
